Program Overview

Internationally acclaimed for its pioneering approach to teaching practical business management skills, the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business works with top-ranking business leaders to design and deliver courses of a world-class standard. Our education platform is a knowledge center with the aim to guide business leaders through the complexities and speed of managing in the 21st Century. Rather than adopting the standard theoretical, academic approach, our courses focus on practical skills required to perform and produce results whilst working in a foreign environment, using English as the medium of exchange.

A key feature of the globalization programs is the overseas workshop, for which students spend their final two weeks on the course at our partner institution, Bond University in Australia, for a final assessment.

Those who will benefit the most from our highly interactive Globalization programs include people:

  1. 1. aiming to work abroad at management level in the future
  2. 2. currently assigned overseas
  3. 3. working in Japan and frequently interacting with non-Japanese employees
  4. 4. who are non-Japanese and working in a Japanese firm or in Japan.

MBA in Globalization

International leaders require English to perform successfully. It is for that reason that the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business requires its graduates to be competent in English prior to proceeding into the second year. While students complete their first year core management modules in Japanese, a wide selection of electives are available, designed to improve English skills. It is advisable that you commence studying these as early as possible.

Globalization Certificate

The curriculum of the Globalization Certificate course is almost identical to the 2nd year of the MBA in Globalization and is an attractive option for those who:

  • -already have a solid foundation of management skills,
  • -have advanced English ability,
  • -a lack of Japanese skills, or
  • -already hold an MBA.

Details of the student body can be found on the Student Profile page.
