Course Outline/Objectives

In this course, we consider what entrepreneurship means. In addition, we look at the qualities, knowledge, skills and personality needed to be an entrepreneur. Students will study the various stages involved in opening a business such as planning, establishment, growth management and management strategy. At the same time, they will evaluate a number of case studies to learn about successful business models, core competencies, financial planning, marketing strategies and management styles. Through peer discussion, students will discuss the best ways to succeed in starting a business. By the end of the course, they will have developed a more innovative, entrepreneurial mindset.
