Course Outline/Objectives

These days, IT, or Information Technology, is described as a booming industry, but is that really the case? How is IT used practically in our daily lives and by our company management? Increasingly companies are carrying out IT management reforms. IT is utilized in a variety of situations such as making closer connections with other companies, outsourcing management functions, introducing IT functions to affiliates and building customer relations. Under such situations, "Deciding to invest in IT" and "Utilizing IT on the spot" become important themes. In this course, we aim to better understand those themes through the lectures and the analysis of case studies. We also look at the following points:

  • Utilizing IT Efficiently
    - Bringing out human talent
    - Changing marketing concepts
  • IT policy as an Administrator
  • IT is neither exceptional nor difficult (employing strategies and common sense)
