Course Outline/Objectives

What makes global companies competitive? Undoubtedly it is human resources. The essential way to make a company competitive is to analyze correctly the ability and aptitude of staff. It is extremely important for a company to decide quickly who it should invest in, and whose talent it should nurture. However, in spite of the importance of human resources, few people have acquired the competency to assess employees really well. Most people approach HR from a selfish or biased point of view. In this course, Mr. Kawakami will teach students how to analyze, make the most of and develop staff competencies. Students will study the following points:


  • Understanding the essence and development of Performance Management
  • Learning the method of and effectuating evaluation for competency
  • Learning in detail the techniques of how to develop staff competencies
  • Understanding the psychological aspects of HR management
