Course Outline/Objectives
Organizations are behavioral systems composed of many people organized in such a way that they will work cooperatively. The system can be broken down as follows:
- Partial Responsibility of the Roles,
- Grouping of the Roles,
- Lines of Command System Among the Roles,
- Information Transmission, and
- Regulation of the Roles
In this course, an outline of organizational theory will be divided into two sides - the micro and the macro. Students will follow six themes and apply them to past and present organizations.
- Leadership (Style, Organization Culture)
- Individual Behavior (Motivation, Commitment)
- Decision Making Process and Group Behavior (Decision Making, Communication)
- Structure of the Organization (Design, Complexity)
- Function of the Organization (Function, Line Staff, Adjustment Mechanism)
- Organization Network (Network of the Organization, Grouping Organization)
