Course Outline/Objectives
This course contains 2 kinds of lectures:
- Marketing lectures, and
- Sales For Management lectures.
It is necessary to study both kinds of lectures in order to master the practical skills of marketing and complete the course.
Marketing Lectures
The aim of marketing activities is to offer customers what they want and to increase sales and profit through these activities. Marketing activities involve the following 5 steps:
- Analyzing the Environment
- Identifying a Target
- Making a Marketing Strategy
- Creating an Action Plan
- Carrying Out Action Plans
Steps 1 and 2 are categorized as "marketing strategy" and 4 and 5 as "marketing tactics". In this course students will understand the basic steps of marketing and learn how to act practically during each step. The goal of the marketing lectures is for students to learn the necessary attitude and approaches to adopt for marketing.
Marketing Lectures
The point of "sales for management" is to make the largest sales and profit through building relationships with customers. SFM activities target customers before deciding the approach is decided. We will study each step involved in SFM, and how and what to decide during each stage, by considering practical case studies. Students will learn when to adopt key concepts such as SFA (Sales Force Automation), which support sales business with IT and CRM. These lectures aim to clarify SFM as a whole.
