Professional Background

Mr. Morimoto graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Engineering and Science Department and earned his MA from Cornell University's Engineering Department. He later graduated from Harvard University's Advanced Management Program. He began his career with Tokyo Shibaura Electronics(TOSHIBA) and became the first president of TOSHIBA's spin-off semi-conductor company. Later he became the Vice-Representative Director of TOSHIBA and is now a permanent advisor to the company. He also serves as a director at NuFlare Technology Inc., and auditor at Harison Toshiba Lighting. He has been a part-time lecturer on "International Economics" in the Engineering Science Department at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. In addition, he is widely respected for his career as a semiconductor specialist.
