Professional Background
Kevin Gibson was appointed Managing Director of Robert Walters Japan in 2001. Under his leadership, Robert Walters has become the largest foreign-owned specialist recruitment firm in Japan. The Tokyo office recently became Robert Walters' largest international branch. Under Kevin's stewardship, sales at Robert Walters Japan have expanded nine-fold and staff has grown from 25 to more than 160 professionals. Kevin has also led the Firm's expansion drive outside of Tokyo, opening a satellite office in Japan's "second city" of Osaka in 2007. He has a deep understanding of the specialist recruitment market and is a sought-after speaker and commentator on employment issues in Japan. Kevin started his career at Robert Walters in 1994.Prior to heading Robert Walters Japan, Kevin was responsible for launching the Firm's successful Singapore office in 1998. This appointment followed a three-year stint in Sydney as one of the cofounders of Robert Walters Australia.
