Professional Background
Former president of the Western Japan City Bank, Yusuke Inoue lectures on Corporate Finance at the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business. After graduating from Hitotsubashi University in 1973, Mr. Inoue began his career in The Bank of Japan. Here, he gained experience in a number of departments, was seconded to the Economic Planning Agency and became an IMF trainee. In 1985, he joined the Fukuoka Mutual Bank - currently the Western Japan City Bank - where he later became bank President. Around the same time he took on a position as chairperson of Kyushu Card. Throughout his life, Mr. Inoue has taken a variety of career paths, including starting his own business, being a trainer and working as an external auditor. He is now a trustee of Chikushi Women's School, Chikushidai School and the Fukuoka Cultural Foundation. He is also Secretary General for the Fukuoka Association of Corporate Executives. Mr. Inoue is widely regarded as an authority on finance.
