Mr. Siyen Ma, a Professor on the MBA in Globalization program, was born and grew up in a small town near Xian, Shaanxi province in China. Based on Mr. Ma's request to help children with financial difficulties to continue their education, the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business donated his remuneration to a local charity association and set up a scholarship program for both the elementary school and high school where Mr. Ma received his childhood education.

Five students in each grade were selected, 45 children in total. These students will receive aid every year untill they graduate. The program initially covers five years of their education. On Oct 10th, 2008, Mr. Siyen Ma, attended the inauguration ceremony and was welcomed by students, teachers and local government officials.
